A 'New Beginning' Written at Hell's Doorstep
Dante wrote his epic 'The Divine Comedy' during his political exile. In the darkest woods of life (suffering), he finally discovered the true meaning of salvation and starting anew.
At the end of the Inferno, as he moves toward Purgatory, Dante finally sees the stars again. He demonstrated that any great period—even an end—is a process of purification and preparation for the next stage.
